Different piqué character or colour effect on each face; lofty, technical double-face. Since separate yarns can run on each side, the outer face can be built for appearance and the inner face for comfort and moisture management.

Properties

Its lofty cross-section provides cover without giving up lightness, and the surface does not mark with creases during movement. It is used in polos, jackets, track tops and performance sportswear, as well as corporate team ranges. The even ground of the outer face makes print and embroidery work easier.

In sourcing Dual Piqué, Tutku Fabric has print and embroidery suitability tested in advance with its production partners. The logo is trialled on sample cloth: whether the transfer temperature crushes the lofty surface, whether the embroidery interlining marks the inner face, and how the result looks after washing are assessed together. The method that works is then standardised for the whole corporate programme.

Sourcing and sampling process

Tutku Fabric does not knit; it is a sourcing and marketing partner working with mills experienced in this construction. When your enquiry arrives we settle the target weight, width, composition and end use, send suitable options from existing swatch cards and, where needed, plan a trial knit with the mill.

Weight, width and after-wash measurements are recorded on the sample; the approved sample becomes the written reference for bulk. Checkpoints on the greige knit, after dyeing and before dispatch are followed, and requested physical tests are run by an independent laboratory. Minimums and lead time are set with the mill according to colour count and dyehouse schedule, then confirmed to you in writing.
