Wholesale knitted fabric sourcing: the right mill, verified quality, planned delivery

Tutku Fabric is a sourcing and marketing partner that runs wholesale knitted fabric supply for apparel brands and garment makers through a network of mills. Here is what you are actually buying, which constructions we supply and how the process works.

What you are buying in a wholesale order

A wholesale fabric order is more than a price per roll. You are buying a fabric tied to a written recipe, a production run that stays faithful to that recipe and lots that arrive on the promised date. Two knits with the same name behave differently once yarn count, stitch density and finishing change, so our first job is to turn "we need single jersey" into weight, width, composition and end use. The approved sample becomes the reference every later lot is checked against.

Constructions we supply

We work across the knitted constructions apparel uses most: single jersey for tees and underwear, rib for collars and cuffs, interlock for babywear and stable basics, the piqué family for polos, two-thread and three-thread fleece for sweats, and double-bed structures such as punto milano, ottoman and double face for structured collections. Typical weight, width and composition ranges are listed on the fabric types page.

Why a sourcing partner instead of one mill

A single mill is strong in one gauge and diameter range; the line that knits excellent single jersey is rarely the right one for heavy ottoman. Working through a network lets us route each construction to the line experienced in it. Swatch follow-up, dyehouse communication, quality control and logistics stay with one team, in Turkish and English.

How an order runs

Minimums, lead time and colour count are set together with the mill and shared before you commit. Read more in the sourcing process guide.

FAQ

Wholesale knitted fabric FAQ

Is there a minimum order quantity?

There is no fixed minimum; it depends on the construction, the number of colours and the dyehouse batch size. We check with the mill and share the applicable range in writing. Small trials can start from stock colours.

How long do swatches and samples take?

Existing swatch cards ship quickly. A trial knit for a custom weight or composition depends on the mill's schedule; we give a realistic date when we receive the request.

What do you need for a quotation?

Fabric type, target weight, width preference, composition, colour count and approximate metres. A reference swatch speeds up the match. Where details are missing we ask and come back with alternatives.

Do you ship abroad?

Yes. For exports we work according to the delivery terms you prefer and run all communication in Turkish and English, with composition and finish proposals suited to your target market.
